How to cancel YouTube Premium

Offers to stay
- YouTube lets you pause a monthly Premium membership for 1 to 6 months instead of cancelling. The pause starts when the current billing period ends. Annual plans and memberships billed through Apple can't be paused.Source, checked on 23 Oct 2026.
The cancel flow may show you an offer to stay, such as a discount or a pause. You can always say no and finish cancelling.
Steps
- Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships.
- Select Manage membership, then Deactivate.
- Select Continue to cancel, choose a reason and select Next.
- Select Yes, cancel.
Before you cancel
- You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- If you pay through Apple or Google Play, cancel there instead. Cancelling with YouTube doesn't stop that billing.
Paid through Apple or Google Play?
If you subscribed in the YouTube Premium app on your phone, Apple or Google Play may bill you. Then cancel it there:
