How to cancel Substack

Offers to stay
The cancel flow may show you an offer to stay, such as a discount or a pause. You can always say no and finish cancelling.
Steps
- Go to substack.com/settings.
- Under Subscriptions, select the publication.
- Select the link to cancel your paid subscription.
- Select Cancel subscription, choose a reason and confirm.
Before you cancel
- You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- You can pause the subscription instead of cancelling it.
- If you pay through Apple or Google Play, cancel there instead. Cancelling with Substack doesn't stop that billing.
Paid through Apple or Google Play?
If you subscribed in the Substack app on your phone, Apple or Google Play may bill you. Then cancel it there:
